Shortcut keys can make moving between items in a complex interface much simpler. For example, shortcut keys in the chat tool for moving between the conversation pane, text input pane, and list of members.

Shortcut keys should be alt + shift + number keys to minimize conflicts with assistive technologies. A legend or help material should document shortcut keys on each page affected page
