Issue List: Issue: Accessible HTML editor (full screen reader accessibility)
Issue 22
| Title | Accessible HTML editor (full screen reader accessibility) |
| Status | Reported |
| Priority | Medium |
| Description | HTML editor accessibility present but WYSIWYG editors are notoriously hard to use for PwD, especial screen reader users. We are confident in Desire2Learns choice of editor. Another option that could be considered in the future is XStandard, although it does not currently support JAWS and requires a plug-in. |

| Section | In 2008 we did an extensive review of HTML Editors that could be embedded in our system without the need to download additional software. Although the option we chose is not fully accessible to screen reader users, we believe it is the most accessible HTML Editor on the market and that the vendor has a proven commitment to continuing to improve the accessibility of the product. |
