Plus signs should be automatically expanded for Semester and Departments. Having links hidden under a tree can cause screen-reader users to skip over the link/information they are trying to access. Therefore, hidden links inhibit the screen reader user?s ability to easily viewa list of the links available on a page. Expanding the links by default also enables other users to quickly find their semester or class information without needing to expand lists searching for the right information.
